Coach McGarity Hill Run
The Coach McGarity Hill Run is a long-established five mile hill race held on Marco Island, Florida. It is described as the longest running race in Collier County and continues in memory of its founder, a CCPS running coach and teacher.
The event offered for 12/12/2026 includes race amenities for participants: a race T-shirt for all registered entrants and finisher ribbons for everyone who completes the course. Water stops are placed just after mile 1 and before mile 4.
Registration opens 10/1/2026 and closes 12/4/2026. Entry fees vary by date and category: students 21 and under $20; adults $40 if registered by 12/4; $45 from 12/5 to 12/11; and $50 on race day. Packet pick-up is available on race day.
Awards are given three deep in standard age-group brackets ranging from 14 and under through 85 and older, with categories that include 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85+.
