The Coach McGarity 5 Mile Hill Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Marco Island, FL (350 South Barfield Drive, Marco Island, FL 34145). The event features a single road race distance of 5 miles. The race is staged by GCR and is described as the longest running race in Collier County; it was originally started by a local school running coach and teacher who passed away in summer 2021.
Details
Entry fees: Students (21 and under) $20; adults $40 if paid by December 12, 2025, $45 for December 13-19, and $50 on race day. Race shirts are provided to all participants. The event offers 3-deep age group awards for a wide range of age divisions (14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+). Water stops are located just after mile 1 and before mile 4. A course map and participant survey are available for registered entrants.
