Coach McGarity 5 Mile Hill Run
The Coach McGarity 5 Mile Hill Run takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Marco Island, FL. The event is a 5 mile road run held at 350 South Barfield Drive, Marco Island, FL 34145. It is described as the longest running race in Collier County, originally started by a CCPS running coach and teacher; the coach passed away in the summer of 2021 and the event continues to be staged by GCR.
Event details
- Entry prices: Students (21 and under) $20; Adults $40 if registered by 12/12; $45 from 12/13 to 12/19; $50 on race day.
- All participants receive a race T-shirt.
- Awards are given three deep by age group, with age brackets from 14 and under up to 85+.
- Water stops are located just after mile 1 and before mile 4.
- A course map and an interactive route are provided for the course.
