Youghal Bay Half Marathon and 10 km
The event offers two road races around the streets and seafront area of Youghal, including the Front Strand and the Greenway. The half marathon is run as a two lap course while the 10 km is a single lap of the route. Full road closures will be in place along the course.
A permit for the event has been approved, cert.no: 26/102. The organiser provides a specially designed finisher medal for both distances and a finisher T shirt for every participant. From each entry fee €2 will be donated to charity.
Age rules are strict: competitors must be 16 years and over to take part in either race. The multi lap format of the half marathon means spectators can see runners on more than one circuit. The route passes through the medieval streets of Youghal and along scenic sections of the Front Strand and Greenway, and the 10 km follows a single full circuit of the same course.
