Youghal Bay Half Marathon & 10km 2026
The event comprises a half marathon and a 10 km race around the streets and seafront area of the medieval town of Youghal. The half marathon uses a unique two-lap route that passes through the town's medieval streets, the Front Strand area and the Greenway. The 10 km race follows a single lap of the same route. Full road closures will be in place along the course.
A permit has been approved for the event, cert. no. 26/102. Organisers state the course is suitable for setting a personal best and for runners preparing for an autumn marathon. The two-lap format gives supporters multiple opportunities to see participants on the route.
Entry conditions and participant benefits noted by the organiser include a specially designed finishers medal for both distances and a finishers t-shirt for everyone. The event is strictly for participants aged 16 years and over. A portion of each entry fee, €2, will be donated to charity.
