18th Annual Old Parish Turkey Trot
The Old Parish Turkey Trot is held in memory of Paddy Joe Curran and organised by West Waterford Athletic Club. The event features a 5 mile run and a 4 mile walk and takes place at the Marine Bar in Pulla, Dungarvan. The event is sponsored by Cleanzone Technologies Ltd.
The event was established by Paddy Joe Curran in 2007 and continued after his passing in 2011. A group of his friends developed the event further to raise funds for local charities in his memory.
Practical details include online registration and on the day entry with different fees, and number collection at the Marine Bar on the event morning. There is no mass start for the walk; registered walkers begin once they have signed in. Prize giving and refreshments are provided at the Marine Bar after the event.
