18th Annual Old Parish Turkey Trot
The Old Parish Turkey Trot is an annual memorial event organised by West Waterford Athletic Club and sponsored by Cleanzone Technologies Ltd. It takes place in the Marine Bar, Pulla, Dungarvan, and includes both a run and a walk.
Distances:
- 5 mile run
- 4 mile walk
The event was established in 2007 by Paddy Joe Curran and is held in his memory; after his passing in 2011 friends and supporters continued the event to grow it and to raise funds for local charities. Registration is available online for 10 euro or on the day for 15 euro, with number collection at the Marine Bar from 10:30am. Walk participants will be allowed to start after registration and sign-in; there is no mass start for the walk.
Prize giving and refreshments are provided at the Marine Bar following the event. The event listing covers the dates of December 6 to December 7. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
