About the race
The Old Parish Turkey Trot is an annual community road event held at the Marine Bar, Pulla, Dungarvan. In its 18th edition, the event includes a 5 mile run and a 4 mile walk and is sponsored by Cleanzone Technologies Ltd.
The race was established in 2007 and is now organised in memory of its founder. Local volunteers developed the event to grow participation and to raise funds for local charities. Prize giving and refreshments are provided at the Marine Bar after the activities.
Entry can be completed online for 10 euro or in person on the day for 15 euro. Participants collect race numbers on site. Walkers do not start as a single mass; once registered and signed in, walkers begin individually.
The event is run by the local athletics club and takes place on public roads near Dungarvan.
