John Treacy Dungarvan 10 Mile
The John Treacy Dungarvan 10 Mile is an annual A.A.I. permitted road race organised by West Waterford Athletic Club. The 35th edition is scheduled for Sunday 31 January 2027. Entries for the 2027 race open on 1 December for A.A.I. club members and remaining places are offered from 8 December.
The event is a pre-entry race with a maximum of 3,750 places and an entry fee of €45. A.A.I. club members need their Life Membership number to enter. All race numbers are posted out in the week prior to the race and there is strictly no entry on the day.
The course starts at the Youghal Road in Dungarvan and is described as a fast, flat ten mile route around the historic town of Dungarvan, County Waterford. Cash prizes totalling over €6,000 are available, with awards for the first ten men and the first ten ladies across the line. Results for the event are maintained and published; archived results are available back to 2010.
West Waterford Athletic Club was founded in 1994, has both juvenile and adult sections, and was formed from the amalgamation of Cappoquin/Ballinameela A.C., Dungarvan A.C., and Ring/Old Parish A.C. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
