John Treacy Dungarvan 10 Mile
The John Treacy Dungarvan 10 Mile is an annual road race organised by West Waterford Athletic Club. The 35th edition is scheduled for 31 January 2027. The event is a permitted A.A.I. race and is organised as a pre entry event that will close when 3,750 entries are reached. Entries open on 1 December first to A.A.I. club members using a Life Membership number, with remaining places offered from 8 December. The entry fee for 2027 is €45. Race numbers are posted out the week before the event and there is strictly no entry on the day. A prize fund of €6,000 is listed, with cash prizes for the first 10 men and first 10 ladies across the line.
The course starts at Youghal Road in Dungarvan and follows a flat 10 mile route around the historic town of Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Results are published after each race and historical results are available back to 2010. West Waterford Athletic Club was founded in 1994, has juvenile and adult sections, and was formed from the amalgamation of Cappoquin/Ballinameela A.C., Dungarvan A.C. and Ring/Old Parish A.C.
