Yough Band on the Run 5k
The event takes place at the West Newton Trailhead of the Great Allegheny Passage Trail in West Newton, PA, on April 3, 2027. It includes running and walking options with open registration periods and published fees.
Distances offered:
- 5K run
- 5K walk
- 10K (new this year)
The course is flat and follows an out and back layout along the trail. The new 10K has a 90 minute time limit.
Awards are offered across multiple categories. Plaques will be given to the top three finishers for men and women in the 5K and the 10K. Age group awards provide a medal to the top finisher for men and women in the following groups: 18 and under; 19 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 and over. Medals are also awarded to the top three walkers. The first 100 finishers receive an engraved wood keychain.
Registration opens September 17, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. Published registration fees are $25 for the 5K run, $20 for the 5K walk, and $30 for the 10K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
