The Yough Band on the Run 5k is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, in West Newton, Pennsylvania. The race location is 108 W. Main St, West Newton, PA 15089. The event includes the following distances:
- 5k run
- 5k walk
Registration fees are listed as $30 for the 5k run and $25 for the 5k walk. Online registration closes April 10, 2026 at 3:00pm EDT.
Course and awards
The course is on the West Newton Trailhead of the Great Allegheny Passage Trail and is described as a flat, out-and-back route. Plaques will be awarded to the top three finishers for men and women. Age group awards include a medal for the top finisher (men and women) in these brackets: 18 & Under; 19 - 29; 30 - 39; 40 - 49; 50 - 59; 60+. Medals will be given to the top three walkers. The first 75 finishers will receive an official race button made by students at The Maryland School for the Blind.
Parking and partners
Approximately 50 parking spots are available at the start/finish. Additional parking is available across W Main Street at West Newton Station, across the Youghiogheny River on East Main Street, and at municipal lots on South Water Street and South Second Street.
