Juneteenth Freedom 5K - Richmond, KY
The Juneteenth Freedom 5K is scheduled for June 20, 2026 at White Hall State Historic Site in Richmond, Kentucky. The event offers on-site and virtual participation and takes place on paved trails within White Hall Park.
Event distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Family Fun Walk
- Virtual Runner/Walker
The course is described as a scenic closed route on paved trails. Participants receive commemorative unisex performance/tech shirts. Social teams are available to expand the event experience. Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and to first-place male and female finishers in standard age categories: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
The event includes on-site music, food trucks, and snacks and drinks. Advanced packet pickup is offered at the Madison County Public Library in Richmond; race day packet pickup is also available at the White Hall location.
Proceeds and donations are planned to be split among three local beneficiaries: The Maurice Hibbard Non-Traditional Scholarship, The Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery, and New Liberty Family Shelter.
