The 2026 Juneteenth Freedom 5K is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Richmond, Kentucky. The event location is White Hall State Historic Site, 500 White Hall Shrine Road, Richmond, KY 40475. Available event options are:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Family Fun Walk
- Virtual Runner/Walker
The entry fee for each event is $30. Registration opens December 22, 2025. Advanced packet pickup is available at the Madison County Public Library (Room 138, 507 West Main St., Richmond) on the days before the race; race day packet pickup is also provided.
Course, awards and beneficiaries
The course is a closed, paved-trail route within White Hall Park. The event includes a wheelchair division, commemorative unisex performance shirts, social teams, music, food trucks, and on-site snacks and drinks. Awards are planned for the top three male and female overall finishers and first place male and female in the following age categories: 9 & under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+.
Proceeds and donations are planned to be split among three local beneficiaries: The Maurice Hibbard Non-Traditional Scholarship; The Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery, INC; and New Liberty Family Shelter.
