Event Details
The Bridlington Beach Fun Run and 5K takes place on Bridlington South Beach. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday, 5th July. The course follows the beach and coastline, with organisers noting the run will take place on firmer sand in 2026 due to favourable tide times.
Distances and Entry
The event features a 5K run and a Fun Run.
- 5K Run: Entry costs £15.00, or £13.00 for affiliated runners.
- Fun Run: A shorter, untimed option.
Participant Information
Participants in the 5K must be 12 years or over. Anyone can participate in the Fun Run, but participants under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. A trophy is awarded for the best fancy dress costume. Five beach wheelchairs are available for the Fun Run, bookable in advance.
All participants in the 5K receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and medal. The event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UKA rules. It is organised by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Coastal Services team and Bridlington Road Runners. Race numbers are collected on the day from the registration point.
