About the race
York Regional Police presents the 12th annual Luminary Run and Candlelight Vigil on September 23, 2026 in Keswick. The event honours police officers who have been killed in the line of duty and is listed as a fundraiser.
The event features a free community 5 km run open to members of the public. Registration is managed online and participants receive full event details by email prior to the date. A waiver is required and must be submitted before the event. Pets are not permitted to participate in the run. Citizens may also attend at points along the route to show support.
A candlelight vigil takes place at Garrett Styles Park, located at 176 Laurendale Ave, Keswick ON. Participants and supporters can purchase a luminary with a personalized message for $5.
