York Gold Star Memorial 5K Run & 9 Mile Tour de Memorials
This event takes place in York, Pennsylvania on Memorial Day 2026 at 1000 Vanderbilt Avenue. It includes a timed 5K running race and an untimed 9 mile Tour of the Memorials. The event supports the Gold Star Family Garden.
Participants can choose among three event options:
- 5K running race (timed)
- 5K walk or casual run or bicycle option
- 9 mile Tour of the Memorials, open to runners, walkers, and bicycle riders
The 5K is offered as a timed running event; the 5K course may also be run, walked, or biked. The 9 mile Tour of the Memorials is not timed. Tour participants receive a map and may complete the route at their own pace while passing by every war memorial in York City.
Registration fees are listed as $20.00 for each event. Registration for the 5K opened in December 2025 and registration for the 9 mile tour opened in March 2026; both registrations close on May 10, 2026.
