About the race
The Arla Protein York 10K takes place on Sunday 01 August 2027 and follows a course that starts and finishes on Knavesmire Road near York Racecourse. Described as one of the country's most beautiful city runs, the route is flat and fast and passes landmarks such as the ancient city walls, York Minster, and Clifford's Tower. The entry package includes a finisher medal, chip timings, a goody bag and an optional finisher t-shirt. Entrants must be 15 years or older on the day.
Water stations on course will provide 330 ml bottles and recycling bins are available at each station. Event facilities are concentrated in an Event Village on the Knavesmire and include baggage storage, toilets and partner charity stalls. First aid is provided at fixed stations on the course with a first aid unit and recovery unit near the finish and roaming first aiders in the village. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags showing target finish times. Travel options mentioned include a Park & Ride service at Askham Bar, parking at York Racecourse Car Park (a 15 to 20 minute walk to the start), and walking access from the city centre or York Railway Station.
