Event overview

The Arla Protein York 10K is an organised road race in York first held in 2009. The 2026 event is scheduled for Sunday 02 August 2026 and starts and finishes on Knavesmire Road, close to York Racecourse. The route passes a number of city landmarks, including the ancient city walls, Clifford’s Tower and York Minster. Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day.

Practical information

Entries include chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive medal, with an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. On-course services include water stations supplying 330ml bottles and recycling bins at each water station, fixed first aid stations near water stops, a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish, and roaming first aiders in the event village. Pacers with finish-time flags will be available. Baggage should be checked into the designated baggage store using the tear-off strip on the race number. Event photography will be provided by MarathonPhotos and results will be published in the event results section soon after the race. A Park & Ride service will operate from Askham Bar and additional parking is available at York Racecourse Car Park (YO23 1EX); the start and finish area is about a 30-minute walk from the city centre or a 20-minute walk from York Railway Station.
