Arla Protein York 10K
The Arla Protein York 10K takes place in York on Sunday 02 August 2026. The route starts and finishes on Knavesmire Road, close to York Racecourse, and passes city landmarks including the ancient city walls, Clifford's Tower and the minster. The event was launched in 2009 and is presented as a popular 10K in Yorkshire. Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day.
On-the-day services and logistics
Included with entry are chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive medal, with an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. An Event Village near the start and finish will offer food and drink options and host partner charities. Baggage can be left in a designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip on the race number.
There will be water stations on course providing 330ml bottles and recycling bins at each water station. Pacers with flags, sponsored by Arla Protein, will be on course. Toilets are located around the stadium; the organiser operates a zero-tolerance policy on urination outside facilities. Medical personnel and fixed first aid stations will be placed near water stations, with a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish. MarathonPhotos will take event photos for purchase. A Park & Ride service will operate from Askham Bar and additional parking is available at York Racecourse Car Park, approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the start.
