Arla Protein York 10K

The Arla Protein York 10K is a city 10 km road race first held in 2009 that has become a well established event in Yorkshire. The route starts and finishes on Knavesmire Road, close to York Racecourse, and passes central landmarks such as the ancient city walls, Clifford's Tower and York Minster. The course is described as flat and fast and is suitable for runners aiming for a personal best.

Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day. Race services include chip timing, an exclusive medal and a finisher’s goody bag, with an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. Pacers are available on course and water stations supply 330 ml bottles; recycling bins are provided at water stations.

An Event Village near the start and finish offers food and drink concessions and space for partner charities. Baggage can be left in a designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip from the race number. Medical personnel and fixed first aid stations are located on the course and near the start and finish; roaming first aiders will cover the Event Village.

Travel options include a dedicated Park & Ride at Askham Bar and parking at York Racecourse Car Park. The start and finish area is about a 30 minute walk from the city centre or a 20 minute walk from York Railway Station. MarathonPhotos will take event photographs and results are published after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
