Event

The Arla Protein York 10K is a 10 km road race held in York. The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday 02 August 2026 with the start and finish on Knavesmire Road, close to York Racecourse. Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day. The event includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, and an exclusive medal, with an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt.

Route and location

The route runs through the heart of York and passes several historic landmarks, including the ancient city walls, Clifford’s Tower and York Minster. The course is described as flat and fast. The start and finish area and Event Village are about a 30-minute walk from the city centre and around a 20-minute walk from York Railway Station.

Facilities and logistics

On course there will be water stations supplying 330 ml bottles and recycling bins at each water station. Pacers with flagged finish times will be available. A designated Baggage Store will operate before and after the race. Toilets are located around the stadium and fixed first aid stations will sit near water stations, with a first aid unit and recovery area by the start and finish. An Event Village will offer food and drink for purchase, charity stalls, race photography and a trainer drop-off point for reuse programs.
