Event Overview
The Arla Protein York 10K is a 10 km road race that takes place in the city of York. The event was first held in 2009 and has become a popular run in Yorkshire.
The Route
The course starts and finishes on Knavesmire Road, near York Racecourse. The route goes through the city centre, passing historic landmarks including the ancient city walls, Clifford’s Tower, and York Minster. The course is described as flat and fast.
Entry & Inclusions
Participants must be 15 years or older on the day of the event. Entry includes chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, and an exclusive medal. An optional finisher t-shirt can be pre-ordered. The event encourages people of all abilities to take part.
On the Day
A designated Event Village offers food and drink for purchase. Baggage storage is provided. Water stations are located on the course, and pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will be present to help runners achieve target times. Medical support and toilets are available. Official photographers will be on the course.
Sustainability
The event promotes environmental responsibility. Recycling bins are provided at water stations, and a partnership with JogOn allows runners to recycle old trainers at a drop-off station in the Event Village. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
