YMCA of Lincoln Turkey Trot presented by Union Bank & Trust
The YMCA of Lincoln Turkey Trot is scheduled for November 26, 2026 in Downtown Lincoln at the Railyard, 350 Canopy St. The event marks its 18th year and offers in-person and virtual participation options that support the Y's Annual Fundraising Campaign.
Distances offered include:
- 75 yards Tot Trot for young children
- 1 mile Fun Run and Walk
- 5K Race
The Tot Trot is for children up to 5 years old; parents may accompany youth, registration is required and no apparel is provided for Tot Trot participants. The 1 mile and 5K are available both in-person and as a Trot at Home virtual option. Entry fees noted by the organizer include $22 for the 1 mile and $37 for the 5K; family pricing is available for the 1 mile and a $10 late registration fee applies after the early registration deadline.
Strollers are allowed on course and dogs are not allowed. Small prizes are provided to youth finishers of the Tot Trot and 1 mile. In the in-person 5K, top male and female finishers by age division receive medals and overall winners receive an additional prize. Early registrants receive a soft cotton blend event shirt; upgrades and additional apparel are available for a fee.
Packet pickup is available Wednesday at Cooper YMCA and on race day at the Railyard. Virtual participants outside Lincoln may request mailing of their packet by November 13 for an additional fee. A drive for non perishable food and hygiene items will run during packet pickup and race day with drop off locations at the Cooper YMCA and the Railyard.
