King Turkey Day 5K/10K : Worthington, MN

The King Turkey Day 5K and 10K are road races held as part of the King Turkey Day community event in Worthington, Minnesota, on September 19, 2026. The event offers two distances and professional chip timing, with post-race refreshments and event swag options.

  • 5K : refreshed course to showcase more of the community
  • 10K : USATF certified course, subject to change due to road construction

Race-day check-in and packet pickup are located near the starting line at the corner of 7th Ave and 10th St, with an additional packet pickup the day before at 700 2nd Ave. The 5K route has been updated and the racecourse includes two dedicated cheer zones along the route. All finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal. In each age bracket the top three male and female finishers receive a prize bag of goodies instead of medals.

Finishers are offered the opportunity to ride in the King Turkey Day parade as part of the festival activities. Organizers note that ongoing road construction could require course adjustments; any such change would void the 10K certification, with a final decision made approximately two weeks before the event.

Local organizations and businesses are listed as event partners and sponsors. The event presents organized timing, race-day packet logistics, and course support within the community festival. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
