King Turkey Day 5K/10K
The event offers professionally timed 5K and 10K road races held in Worthington, Minnesota at the intersection of 10th Street and 7th Avenue on September 19, 2026. The 10K course is USATF certified; organizers note that construction could require course changes that would void the certification, with a final decision planned about two weeks before the race.
Course and race-day features include an updated 5K route, two dedicated cheer zones along the course, professional chip timing, post-race refreshments, and new race swag options. All finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal; instead of medals, the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket receive a prize bag of goodies.
Packet pickup takes place the day before at 700 2nd Avenue and on race day near the starting area at the corner of 7th Avenue and 10th Street. Finishers have the opportunity to ride in the King Turkey Day parade as part of the festival activities. The event is supported by a range of local organizations and businesses.
