Event Details
The event is the 33rd Annual YMCA Indoor Triathlon. It takes place on March 8, 2026, in Kingston, New York, at 507 Broadway.
Event Format
This is an indoor triathlon consisting of a timed workout totaling 55 minutes, plus two transition periods. The sequence is a 15-minute swim in a lap pool, followed by a 20-minute bike on a stationary Air Dyne bike, and finishing with a 20-minute run on an indoor track. Participants are organized into small waves, with up to six participants per wave. All participants in a wave start and finish each segment simultaneously before moving to the next discipline.
Scoring is based on distance covered, not speed. The swim distance is calculated by counting lengths in a 25-yard pool and converting the total to miles. Results are posted as total distance for the three segments and ranked results for each segment to determine overall finishers.
Awards and Recognition
The following categories are recognized: overall top male and female finisher, top male and female for each segment (swim, bike, run), and a top finisher in each age group. Age groups for recognition span from 14-19 up to 90-99.
Participant Information
Participants must be at least 14 years old on the date of the event. An event beanie hat is guaranteed for those who register by February 26, 2026. Food and drink are available in the main gym throughout the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
