Event Overview
The Treasure Valley YMCA organizes the 49th annual YMCA Famous Idaho Potato Marathon and Fun Runs. Held in Boise, Idaho, this event is supported by the Idaho Potato Commission and features several distance options for participants. Courses follow the Boise Greenbelt, providing a flat and fast surface for the duration of the run.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from four distinct race lengths:
- Marathon: A 26.2 mile course.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile course.
- 10K: A 10-kilometer distance.
- 5K Spud Run: A 5-kilometer fun run.
Course and Location
All races begin and end at The Morrison Center. The routes utilize the Boise Greenbelt, which offers scenic views and a level elevation profile.
Logistics and Preparation
Packet pickup is organized at the Morrison Center on the day before the event. This session includes the distribution of race bibs and t-shirts, as well as access to various vendors.
