YMCA Creepy Crawl 5K presented by Corwin Honda
The event is an 18th annual spooky themed running event held at the Palmer Lake area in Palmer Lake, Colorado, with the start area near the Santa Fe Trailhead and Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area. The main race follows the Santa Fe Trail for about 1.1 miles, then turns back and finishes with a lap around Palmer Lake.
Race options and format include:
- 5K course follows Santa Fe Trail and finishes with a lap around Palmer Lake.
- 0.8 mile kids fun run one lap around Palmer Lake.
The Kids Monster Dash is a free fun run for children 12 and under and covers one lap around Palmer Lake, about 0.8 miles. Costumes and spirit wear are encouraged for participants.
Registration details for the Creepy Crawl 5K list a fee of $40.00; registration opens July 14, 2026 and closes September 16, 2026. The Kids Monster Dash registration opens July 14, 2026 and remains open through October 24, 2026. Winners are determined as the top three male and female overall and the top three in each five year age category. Age categories start at 9 and under and continue in five year groups up to 90 and over.
