Event Overview

Endure Trail Runs is an event in the Human Potential Running Series. The 2026 event will be its 6th annual edition. The event offers several distances: a 12-hour timed event, a marathon, a half marathon, and a 10k race. The combined runner capacity for all distances is 225.

Distances and Format

Participants can choose from four race formats:

  • A 12-hour timed event
  • A marathon
  • A half marathon
  • A 10k race

For the 10k, half marathon, and marathon, there is an 11-hour time limit. The 12-hour event has a unique format where runners select a colored ball from a bucket, determining which trail loop they will run next. This process repeats for up to 12 hours, with the final result being the total miles accumulated. There is also a 12-hour Last Runners Standing (LRS) variant, where all participants run the same loop dictated by a drawn ball, and the slowest allowable pace for each loop is also determined by a random draw.

Course and Venue

All courses use double-track and single-track trails with no pavement. The start and finish location is the Pisgah Group Camping area within Mueller State Park in Divide, Colorado. There is one main aid station at the start/finish area, stocked with water, electrolyte drink, and assorted snacks. Drop bags are permitted at this location.

Logistics

Event check-in is available on Friday evening and on race morning at the start location. Parking is available, but some participants for the 10k and half marathon may park off-site approximately one mile away and use a shuttle service. Vehicles entering the state park require a valid park pass or must pay an entry fee.

Camping is available on-site in the group campsites, with priority given to 12-hour runners, staff, and volunteers. Space is limited and must be reserved. The event does not provide lodging. Nearby towns include Woodland Park (14 miles away) and Colorado Springs (approximately 33 miles away).

Participant Information

All finishers of the 10k, half marathon, or at least one loop in the 12-hour event receive a finisher's award and a gender-specific race shirt (availability not guaranteed for late registrations). The event also presents special awards like the DFL, Adversity, and Transcendence awards. There are no age group or podium awards.

A mid-race drop-down option is available for the half marathon distance to the 10k. There is no drop-down option for the 10k or 12-hour events. The event has a no-spectator policy due to limited parking. The event operates under permits from Colorado Parks & Wildlife. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
