Greenland Trail Races
The Greenland Trail Races take place at Greenland Open Space in Larkspur, Colorado on May 1, 2027. The event offers four distances on dirt trails that run through grasslands, ponds, Gamble oak hills and ponderosa pine stands, with views of Pikes Peak and nearby buttes.
Distances
- 50K
- 25K
- 8 Mile
- 4 Mile
The course follows sections of the Colorado Front Range Trail and the Old Territorial Road. The route uses wide, smooth double-track trails. The high point of the loop reaches about 7,400 feet. 50K runners complete the loop four times; 25K runners complete it twice. The 8 Mile and 4 Mile courses follow shorter variations to the same finish area.
Aid stations are located at roughly 3.5 and 7.5 miles of each loop. Aid stations provide water and Gatorade; gels are available for 25K and 50K runners starting on the second lap. There are no aid stations on the 4 Mile course. A portable restroom is placed near the southern aid station. Runners are encouraged to carry refillable bottles.
Pacers are allowed on the final lap of the 50K only. Crew access is limited to designated aid station locations. Drop bags may be placed at the northern turn-around area about a quarter mile from the finish. Registration items include a technical shirt, finisher medal, timing, and photos; 50K finishers receive a belt buckle. All 50K entrants must be at least 18 years old.
