YMCA Corporate Cup 5K

Event

The YMCA Corporate Cup 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The event is based at Riverfront Plaza, 300 S. River Road, across from the River Center. The course is a new route for this year and covers 5K (3.1 miles). Race headquarters and the post-race party are located at the Riverfront Plaza.

Format and entries

The event includes these divisions: Individual Open Division, Fun Team Competition, and four Corporate Team divisions (Div. 1 through Div. 4). A YMCA Corporate Fun Team is four individuals who do not have to work for the same company or meet specific age/sex demographics. A Corporate Team is composed of three individuals for Div. 1 and four individuals for Div. 2, 3 and 4; corporate teams must include at least one female, one male and one member age 40 or older. Replacements to a team must be made by March 14, 2026. YMCA Corporate Cup T-shirts are included with registration; registrations made after March 14, 2026 will not include a shirt.

Logistics, rules and awards

Chip timing is required for scoring and bibs with timing chips are distributed in race packets available at packet pickup the Friday before race day. Wheelchair athletes are welcome; strollers are permitted; bikes, skates and skateboards are not allowed. Registration is non-refundable and pets are discouraged. Early registration fees are $25, rising to $35 and then $45 closer to race day. Team scoring is the sum of each member’s finishing place. Awards are presented at the post-race party and include division places, age-category winners, a Corporate Wellness Award, Oldie but Goodie awards for oldest runners, fun team and cook-off prizes, and other event-specific awards.
