YMCA 5K Run/Walk In Memory of Marcie Mazzola
The event is a memorial 5K run/walk organized by the Huntington YMCA. The organizer indicated a date in May 2027; a previous edition took place on May 3, 2026, at the Huntington YMCA, 60 Main Street, Huntington, NY 11743. Registration was not yet open at the time of the posting.
Post-race amenities include awards, prizes, refreshments, and sponsor giveaways. Event T-shirts are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Results and photos are provided online, with live results, same-day finish-line pictures, and race video available after the event.
Awards are presented for overall and age-group finishers. The overall top male and female receive a one-year full adult Y membership and a Y gift basket. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, including youth and senior brackets. Team awards recognize the fastest team by cumulative time plus categories for largest team, second largest team, team theme and spirit, and youth group participation.
Proceeds benefit YMCA summer day camp programs to help send children in need to camp. Bib pickup options include pre-race pickup on the weekend before the race, day-of pickup at the Huntington YMCA, and shipped bibs for virtual participants; shipped bibs are sent within a window around the event date.
