YMCA 5K Run/Walk In Memory of Marcie Mazzola
The YMCA 5K Run/Walk In Memory of Marcie Mazzola is a community sports event held in Huntington, New York. The event takes place at the Huntington YMCA and serves as a fundraiser to support scholarships for children to attend summer day camp. This race is officially part of the USATF-LI Grand Prix Long Island's Running Series.
The primary distance for the event is a 5 km run or walk. Participants can choose to attend in person or take part in a virtual category, where runners upload their times and photos over a one-week period following the physical event date.
The course begins and ends at the YMCA on Main Street. The route travels west on Main Street, turns south on Spring Road, continues through Nassau Road and Pearsall Street, and passes around Heckscher Park via Prime Avenue and Madison. Mile markers are placed along the path to assist runners with their pacing.
Registered participants receive several amenities, including:

- Virtual 5 km
Additional features include post-race refreshments, sponsor giveaways, and prizes. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories ranging from 15 and under to 80 and over. Teams may also be formed for those wishing to participate with friends or family. For in-person participants, bib pickup is available both the day before the event and on the morning of the race.
