YIJE 5K Run/Walk (L'Chaim) 2027
This community run/walk event is presented by Young Israel of Jamaica Estates and carries the L'Chaim name. The event includes a main 5K and separate kids races held in Jamaica Estates, Queens, New York. The 5K course begins near 189th Street and Radnor Road adjacent to PS 178, with staging in the Jamaica Estates area.
Registration is not yet open; registration will open prior to the event. Registrants who register at least three weeks in advance receive a personalized race number. Early bib pickup and race day pickup are offered.
Event amenities listed for participants include T-shirts for registered runners and walkers, free ice cream, musical entertainment, water bottles, fruit, sponsor giveaways, and medals for youth runners. The organizer provides trophies for top finishers.
Awards are detailed by age group and overall placement. Trophies are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, with trophies for top finishers in multiple age divisions and medals for all youth 5K registrants aged 5 to 10 at the finish line.
