YIJE 5K Run/Walk (L'Chaim) 2027
Young Israel of Jamaica Estates hosts the L'Chaim 5K Run/Walk in Jamaica Estates, Queens. The event is centered on a 5K course that starts near 189th Street and Radnor Road, adjacent to PS 178, and takes place in the neighborhood around 83-10 188th Street.
Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event. Early bib pickup is available on the Sunday evening before the race and race day pickup is available the morning of the event. Participants who register early may receive a personalized race number.
Amenities listed for participants include event T-shirts, free ice cream, musical entertainment, water bottles, fruit, sponsor giveaways, medals for youth runners and trophies for top finishers. Results services include live online, email and text results along with same-day finish line photos and free video.
Awards are provided for overall and age-group placings. Trophies are given to the top three male and female overall winners, to the top one male and female in the 5-6 and 7-8 age groups, and to the top three male and female in the 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+ age groups.
