About the race
The YIJE 5K Run/Walk L'Chaim is presented by Young Israel of Jamaica Estates as a community running and walking event in Queens, New York. The event is associated with the L'Chaim 5K Run/Walk for Israel and is scheduled for May 24, 2027. The venue is listed as 83-10 188th Street, Jamaica Estates, Queens, NY, with the 5K course starting at 189th Street and Radnor Road adjacent to PS 178.

Event amenities include T-shirts for registered participants, an ice cream festival, musical entertainment, complimentary water bottles and fruit, sponsor give-aways, medals for youth runners, and trophies for top finishers. Awards are organized by gender and age with trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and age-group trophies across youth and adult divisions; medals are provided at the finish line for 5K youth registrants ages 5 to 10.
Personalized race numbers are available for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Early bib pickup is offered the evening before the event and race-day pickup is available on the morning of the event.
