Yeti Ultra 24 Hour Challenge
This is a 24-hour running event. Participants must run or walk a distance of 5.2 miles every four hours, completing six rounds for a total distance of approximately 50K.
The event has two formats: a virtual edition and an in-person edition. For the virtual edition, participants can complete their runs anywhere they choose, indoors or outdoors, between January 1 and December 30. They can pick their own start time. For the in-person edition, the event takes place in Damascus, Virginia, which is described as the original home of the Yeti Trail Runners.
The event promotes a flexible and communal atmosphere. There is no set course; participants decide their own route. There are no cut-off times or disqualifications for not finishing. All finishers receive a medal, with medals for virtual participants being mailed. Results are self-reported. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
