Yellowstone Independence Day 5k : Sacajawea Park, Livingston MT
The Yellowstone Independence Day 5k is a third annual run/walk fundraiser held on July 4, 2026 at Sacajawea Park beside the Yellowstone River in Livingston, Montana. The event benefits the Yellowstone Running Club mission to promote running and walking in the area and supports Park County youth cross country team attendance at regional championship races.
The race is a chip-timed 5 kilometer event with participant t-shirts available; registering by June 20 guarantees a shirt. Early bird pricing is offered through June 30. Standard registration is listed at $35 with the fee increasing to $40 on July 1, 2026; children’s prices do not increase. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in three age groups: 0-12, 13-18, and 19 and older; medals will be awarded to those top finishers. A water aid station is located approximately halfway along the course. Post-race offerings include water, light snacks, raffle prizes for participants, and Mountain Berry Bowls on site selling açaí bowls. Dogs are not permitted in Sacajawea Park per city rules.
