Yellowstone Independence Day 5k, Livingston MT
The Yellowstone Independence Day 5k is a July 4th run/walk event held at Sacajawea Park next to the Yellowstone River in Livingston, Montana. The event is presented by the Yellowstone Running Club as a fundraiser with proceeds supporting the club's mission to promote running and walking and to assist Park County youth cross country team attendance at regional championship races.
The course follows a river and tree lined route and the race will use chip timing provided by Muddy Dog Sports. The event includes raffle prizes, a special finisher giveaway to be announced, age group medals for top finishers, and snack and water service after the race. Mountain Berry Bowls of Livingston will be on site offering acai berry bowls for purchase.
Registration is available online and has set opening and closing dates; the regular registration fee is $35 and increases to $40 starting July 1, 2027. Kids prices do not increase on that date. Onsite registration and bib pickup are scheduled the morning of the event at the Sacajawea Park new picnic shelter on the north side, with an additional evening pickup time the day before to be announced.
Dogs are not allowed in Sacajawea Park per City of Livingston regulations. Stroller decoration is encouraged for a special prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
