About the race
The 2XU Triathlon Series Race 5 is scheduled for Sunday 11 April 2027 at Catani Gardens, St Kilda. The event includes multiple race formats with minimum age limits and set distances for each category. The race weekend offers Saturday and Sunday kit collection windows and a bike check-in process.
Distances and minimum ages:
- Tri Kids: 100m swim / 3km bike / 500m run (Age 7–11)
- Fun Tri: 300m swim / 13km bike / 3km run (Minimum age 12)
- Sprint Series: 750m swim / 26.7km bike / 5km run (Minimum age 15)
- Olympic Distance: 1.5km swim / 40km bike / 10km run (Minimum age 15)
- Aqua Bike: 1.5km swim / 40km bike (Minimum age 15)
Entry fees vary by distance; examples include $46 for Tri Kids, $79 for Fun Tri, $119 for Sprint, $169 for Olympic, and $140 for Aqua Bike. Registrations close on Friday 9 April at 4pm unless sold out; a $10 late fee applies from 12pm on Wednesday 7 April and there are no event-day registrations. Triathlon Australia membership is mandatory; one-day memberships are available through registration for those who need them.
Race 5 will host the 2027 AusTriathlon Age Group Team National Selection Race (Standard Distance Aquabike). Beach Road will be closed between St Kilda St and Kerferd Rd (6:30am–11:30am) with managed crossings and resident access maintained. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
