About the race
The 2XU Triathlon Series Race 5 takes place on Sunday 11 April 2027 at Catani Gardens, St Kilda. The event includes multiple race formats with published minimum ages and measured swim, bike and run distances:
- Sprint Series (minimum age 15): 750m swim / 26.7km bike / 5km run
- Olympic Distance (minimum age 15): 1.5km swim / 40km bike / 10km run
- Aqua Bike (minimum age 15): 1.5km swim / 40km bike
- Fun Tri (minimum age 12): 300m swim / 13km bike / 3km run
- Tri Kids (age 7–11): 100m swim / 3km bike / 500m run
Race 5 will host the 2027 AusTriathlon Age Group Team National Selection Race for the Standard Distance Aquabike. The Olympic Distance at this round is the Elite and 2XU Series Points Race; drafting rules apply to designated elite and junior categories for this race. Entry fees vary by distance, include GST and booking fees, and increase by $10 at a specified date before the event. A late registration fee applies from a specified midweek deadline, registrations close prior to race day and there are no event day registrations. Participants receive eTickets for kit collection and a Race Day Information and Wave Starts guide by email. Road management includes a closure of Beach Road with resident access maintained and managed course crossings. Volunteer opportunities are available for this race.
