About the race
The 2XU Triathlon Series Race 3 takes place on Sunday 7 February 2027 at Trevor Barker Oval, Sandringham. The event includes multiple race categories with stated minimum ages and published distances. Race 3 also hosts the 2027 AusTriathlon Age Group Team National Selection Race (Standard Distance Triathlon).
Distances and minimum ages:
- Sprint 750 m swim / 20 km bike / 5 km run : Minimum age 15
- Olympic 1.5 km swim / 40 km bike / 10 km run : Minimum age 15
- Aqua Bike 1.5 km swim / 40 km bike : Minimum age 15
- Fun Tri 250 m swim / 8 km bike / 3 km run : Minimum age 12
- Tri Kids 100 m swim / 3 km bike / 500 m run : Ages 7 to 11
Entry fees vary by category, with different individual and team prices listed for each distance. Registrations close on Friday 5 February 2027 unless sold out; a late fee applies from Wednesday 3 February and there are no event day registrations. Race week communications include a Race Day Information and Wave Starts guide emailed Wednesday of race week and eTickets emailed on Thursday of race week for kit collection.
Beach Road will be closed on race morning between South Road and Warragal Road and managed crossings and resident access arrangements will be in place. Volunteer positions are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
