About the race
The 2XU Triathlon Series Race 2 takes place in St Kilda at Catani Gardens on Sunday 10 January 2027. The event includes multiple race formats with defined minimum ages and published entry fees. Race 2 will also host the 2027 AusTriathlon Age Group Team National Selection Race in the Sprint distance.
Distances offered:
- Sprint Series: 750 m swim / 26.7 km bike / 5 km run (minimum age 15)
- Olympic Distance: 1.5 km swim / 40 km bike / 10 km run (minimum age 15)
- Aqua Bike: 1.5 km swim / 40 km bike (minimum age 15)
- Fun Tri: 200 m swim / 8 km bike / 2 km run (minimum age 12)
- Tri Kids: 100 m swim / 3 km bike / 500 m run (ages 7–11)
Entry pricing varies by distance and category, with examples including Sprint Individual $119 and Olympic Individual $169; team and junior prices are listed for other categories. Fees include GST and booking fees. Triathlon Australia membership is mandatory; one-day memberships are available at set costs for nonmembers. E-guides, wave start information, and eTickets will be provided to participants during race week. The event includes managed traffic crossings and road closures affecting Beach Road and nearby access routes; resident access is maintained. Volunteer opportunities are available for this race.
