About the race
The 2XU Triathlon Series Race 2 is a triathlon event at Catani Gardens, St Kilda on Sunday 10 January 2027. The race day includes multiple race formats with minimum age requirements and paid entry fees; there are no event-day registrations and a late fee applies from 12pm on Wednesday 6 January, with registrations closing at 4pm on Friday 8 January unless sold out.
Race 2 also hosts the 2027 AusTriathlon Age Group Team National Selection Race in the Sprint distance. Road management will affect Beach Road between St Kilda St and Kerferd Rd with managed crossings and resident access maintained; affected residents receive a pass and traffic management will be in place at specified locations.
Participants receive emailed race information and eTickets during race week for kit collection. There are opportunities to volunteer for Race 2.
Distances and minimum ages:
- Sprint: 750m swim, 26.7km bike, 5km run (minimum age 15)
- Olympic: 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run (minimum age 15)
- Aqua Bike: 1.5km swim, 40km bike (minimum age 15)
- Fun Tri: 200m swim, 8km bike, 2km run (minimum age 12)
- Tri Kids: 100m swim, 3km bike, 500m run (ages 7–11)
