Event overview
The Wymondham AC 20 mile race takes place on 22 March 2026 in Wymondham. It is the third event in the Sportlink Grand Prix series. The race follows UK Athletics (UKA) rules; pacing is not permitted and anyone judged to be pacing or being paced will be disqualified. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are allowed until 14/03/2026. Entry for this race is closed.
Course and logistics
The course is a two-lap route on quiet rural roads around Wymondham that passes nearby villages. The race starts at the Market Cross in the town centre and finishes on Lady's Lane. There are four water stations on the route, each encountered twice because of the lap format. Marshals will be positioned along the course. The first three men and women are recorded by gun time; all age categories are determined by chip time.
Race headquarters is at Abbey Hall, opposite Wymondham Abbey, where race numbers with timing chips are collected on race day. There is no bag drop. An attractive medal, water and a snack are provided at the finish. Toilet provision includes limited facilities at Abbey Hall, portable toilets at the Market Cross, and public toilets at the Market Street car park; additional facilities are planned at Gralix Hall near Deopham on the route. Headphones of any kind are not permitted. Running with buggies or dogs is not permitted. Parking restrictions apply; participants are asked not to park on Briton Way or nearby roads.
