Event Overview
The Wymondham AC 20 Mile Race is the third event in the Sportlink Grand Prix series for the year. It is run on quiet rural roads in the countryside on the outskirts of Wymondham, taking in nearby villages.
Course Details
The race is a two-lap course. It starts at the Market Cross in Wymondham town centre and finishes on nearby Lady's Lane. There are four water stations on the route, and runners pass each one twice due to the lapped course.
Event Information
Registration is separate for affiliated and unaffiliated runners. The race adheres to UKA rules, and pacing is not permitted. Headphones of any kind are not allowed on the open-road course. Running with buggies or dogs is also not permitted. Race headquarters is at Abbey Hall on Church Street. Number collection is available there on race day from 07:45. The start line is a short walk away. There is no bag drop facility at the event. Participants receive an attractive medal, water, and a snack at the finish. Tea, coffee, and cakes are available at Race HQ for a charity donation. Prize giving takes place around midday.
Logistics
Limited parking is available in local car parks, and directions are provided online. Participants are asked not to park on Briton Way or nearby residential roads. Toilets are available at the Abbey Hall, near the start, at a public car park, and at a requested facility on the route at approximately 5.5 and 14 miles.
