Wye King Challenge 10k & Half Marathon
The Wye King Challenge returns in 2026 with a new event HQ at Wye Village Hall & Recreation Ground, Bridge Street, Wye, TN25 5EA. The venue is located between Canterbury and Ashford and hosts two off-road distance options.
- 10k: multi-terrain route across country lanes and paths.
- Half marathon: longer multi-terrain course with varied surfaces.
The routes offer views across the valley and run along picturesque country lanes and paths. The course passes a chalk crown carved into the hillside for King Edward VII's coronation in 1902, which gives the event its name.
Facilities at the venue include toilets, refreshments and a small event village where food and drink are available after the run. Entry fees for advanced entries are listed separately for affiliated and unaffiliated runners: 10k advanced £24 affiliated, £26 unaffiliated; half marathon advanced £32 affiliated, £34 unaffiliated. On the day entry is subject to space and priced at £30 for the 10k and £40 for the half marathon.
Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age is 17 years on the day for both the 10k and the half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
