WWY 5K - No One Walks Alone
The WWY 5K is an annual fundraiser hosted by Walk With You to support families who have experienced the death of a child up to age 18. The event is scheduled for September 19, 2026 and takes place at the back loop of Water Works Park in Des Moines, Iowa. It is offered both as an in-person event and as a virtual option.

- 5K Walk/Run in person or virtual
- 1/2-mile Kid’s Run and children’s activities
There is a $30 registration fee per person. All proceeds go toward the organization’s grief support services for families affected by child loss. Participants may create teams and purchase personalized yard signs honoring a child; these signs will be displayed along the route and are available to take home after the event but cannot be mailed. Children are welcome; pets are not permitted. Each attendee must register individually.
The event includes community amenities such as coffee, food trucks, and face painting, and it provides volunteer and sponsorship opportunities with several tiered packages and sponsor benefits listed by the organizer. The 2025 event raised over $36,000 and hosted 700 attendees, and funds from this event continue to support comprehensive grief services.
