Ogden Newspapers WVU Medicine Wellness Weekend
The 49th annual Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Run and Walk is part of the Ogden Newspapers WVU Medicine Wellness Weekend and will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2027, in Wheeling, West Virginia. The event center is at Corner Main St & 14th St, 1500 Main St, Wheeling.
Distances offered at the event include:
- 13.1 miles
- 5K
- 1 mile
- 100 yards
- 1.5 miles
Packet pickup is located at Wesbanco Arena lobby, 2 14th St, Wheeling. Packet pickup is scheduled on the day before and on the day of the event. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shirt. Participants will receive one food voucher. Race towels, bottled water, and fresh fruit will be available.
Awards are presented in multiple categories. The Half Marathon Run awards include Top 4 overall male and female, top 3 masters and grand masters, and top 3 male and female in each age group listed below. The Half Marathon Walk, the 5K Run, and the 5K Walk each award top overall finishers and top 3 male and female in each age group.
Age groups used for awards include: 19-under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
