Dark Sky 220, Cherry Springs 110 and Wooly 50K
The Warrior Trail Foundation organizes a set of trail adventure runs based in the Lock Haven, PA area. The event offers multiple distance options with substantial elevation gain and varied support styles. Proceeds fund trail running events and professional coaching scholarships for veteran athletes selected to the WTF Athlete Team.
Participants may choose from the following distances:
- Dark Sky 220, 220 miles with over 40,000 feet of elevation gain
- Cherry Springs 110, 110 miles with nearly 20,000 feet of elevation gain
- Wooly 50K, approximately 50 kilometers
Run formats include Supported, Self-Supported, Unsupported, and a Team option. The course provides plentiful water sources along the route. A GPX file for the course is available on Caltopo. Actual start and finish locations are subject to change based on permit.
Registration is open at a flat fee of $22 per person and includes a suggested fundraising commitment of $300 for most distances and $100 for the 50K. All proceeds go directly to the Warrior Trail Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. All participants must register, complete required questions, and sign the event waiver. A virtual option is available for all three distances to allow participants to run independently and log miles while fundraising. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
