WSTC Triathlon Series Race 2
Race 2 of the WSTC Triathlon series takes place on the Altona Beach foreshore. The event follows the triathlon order of swim, bike and run. Run courses use the Altona foreshore path and the bike leg runs the full length of the Esplanade. Transition and registration are in the Western Suburbs Triathlon Club rooms located in the same building as the Altona Surf Life Saving Club near the corner of the Esplanade and Pier Street. On-the-day entries are accepted with cash or card and a signed waiver is required.
Event options and minimum ages:
- Sprint: 750 m swim / 18.75 km bike / 5 km run : minimum age 14 for swim distance; athlete table lists 16 and over for Sprint.
- Enticer: 400 m swim / 12.5 km bike / 3 km run : minimum age 12.
- Dash: 300 m swim / 6.25 km bike / 2 km run : minimum age 10; 10 and 11 year olds swim 200 m.
- Sprint Aquabike: 750 m swim / 18.75 km bike : minimum age 14.
- Enticer Aquabike: 400 m swim / 12.5 km bike : minimum age 12.
- Sprint Aquathon: 750 m swim / 5 km run : minimum age 14.
- Enticer Aquathon: 400 m swim / 3 km run : minimum age 12.
Entry fees vary by membership category and age. Race briefings are held shortly before each event to explain course details and safety information. Photos and results are published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
