WSTC Triathlon Series Race 2 : Altona Beach foreshore
Race 2 of the Western Suburbs Triathlon Club series takes place on the Altona Beach foreshore. Each event follows the triathlon order: swim, bike, then run. Run courses use the Altona foreshore path and the bike leg follows the full length of the Esplanade. The club base is in the same building as the Altona Surf Life Saving Club near the corner of the Esplanade and Pier Street.
Available event distances:
- Sprint: 750 m swim / 18.75 km bike / 5 km run
- Enticer: 400 m swim / 12.5 km bike / 3 km run
- Dash: 300 m swim (200 m for 10–11 year olds) / 6.25 km bike / 2 km run

Age requirements are enforced; the club lists minimum ages by event, with enticer events at 12+ and dash events at 10+. Sprint-distance entrants must meet the higher minimum age noted in the event rules.
Registration and race procedures: registration and bib/chip collection are in the club rooms; on-the-day entries are accepted with cash or card and a signed waiver. Race briefings occur about 15 minutes before each event start. An athlete guide, event rules, photo gallery, and results are provided by the club; photos are typically uploaded within 48 hours and results are usually published the afternoon of the event.
The foreshore is subject to infrastructure works that may require course or start/finish adjustments; any changes will be communicated by the club as the event approaches. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
