W!se 5K Fun Run/Walk WISE 2027
The event is a community 5K fun run and walk held in Astoria Park, Queens. The course consists of three loops, with the finish line located about 0.35 miles from the start. Registration is not yet open; organizers will open registration ahead of the event.
On event day there is an informal bag check area in the staging zone and bathrooms within a few minutes walk of the start and finish. Hydration is provided at the finish line, and refreshments are supplied by Nuun Hydration and WaterBoy. Live online, text, and email results are available, and finish line photos are free. Personalized bibs are offered to those who register at least three weeks before the event.
Awards include top three overall in male, female, and nonbinary categories, plus an award for the fastest team with four scoring members. Bib pickup is handled at the start line on race day; participants must know their bib number or use a self-lookup area. If registration occurs within 24 hours of bib pickup, the bib number can be sent by text within about 90 seconds.
