2027 Wrexham 10K
The 2027 Wrexham 10K is an inaugural, road closed 10K organised by Active Leisure Events Ltd and scheduled for 19 September 2027. The start and finish are at Queensway Athletics Stadium, within easy walking distance of Wrexham city centre. The route passes through the surrounding Welsh countryside and includes spectator support along the course.
Before race day participants receive a personalised race pack posted to them, which includes the race number and a timing chip. The organiser provides free training runs based in Chester and access to an online social community for participant support. There is a Green Runner option where the cost of the finisher items is donated to the event charity; Green Runners do not receive a medal, T shirt or goody bag.
On race day participants receive a technical T shirt, a bespoke finisher medal and a goody bag unless they have chosen the Green Runner option. The event offers on course hydration and nutrition, medical support, free official race photos, and an online tracking service for supporters. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and top three women and to winners in each age group.
Entry prices are tiered: a special price of £34.20 until 30 August 2026, a standard price of £38.00 until 29 August 2027, and a late price of £40.00 from 31 August 2027. UKA affiliated runners receive a £2 discount. The minimum age on race day is 15. The event is run under UK Athletics rules and measured by the AUKCM.
