About the race
The Wrexham 10K is a new road race scheduled for 19 September 2027. It is organised by Active Leisure Events and starts and finishes at Queensway Athletics Stadium, located at Queensway Sports Complex in Wrexham. The course runs near the city centre and takes in surrounding Welsh countryside, with on-course support for runners. Before race day entrants receive a personalised race pack including a race number and timing chip sent by post; international runners must collect their race number from the Help Desk on race weekend.
Pre-race support includes advice, free training runs based in Chester, and access to the organiser's social community for event information. Entrants may receive sponsor offers and competitions. On race day participants receive either a complimentary technical T-shirt, bespoke medal and a goody bag, or may choose the Green Runner option in which the cost of these items is donated to the event charity. The event provides on-course hydration and nutrition, medical support throughout the course, a runners Help Desk, free official race photos, prizes for the top three men and women and age group winners, and access to a live tracking website for supporters. Entries are open to runners aged 15 and over.
The event is run under UK Athletics rules, measured by AUKCM. Entry terms include a transfer process, no refunds, and options for Refund Protect insurance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
