WPB 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb and 5K
The WPB 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a September event in West Palm Beach that honors the victims of September 11 and raises funds for local nonprofits. The program includes a memorial stair climb that replicates the original 110 stories, a 5K Fun Run, a CrossFit workout competition for same-sex teams of two, and the Bill Bone Hero Challenge which pairs the 5K with the memorial stair climb. Proceeds support organizations such as Pediatric Oncology Support Team (POST) and Operation 300.
The CrossFit competition uses same-sex teams of two and features repeated running segments interspersed with rowing, deadlifts, dumbbell hang squat cleans, box jumps and weighted lunges. The 2026 division standards list RX and intermediate load options and specified box heights for all divisions.
Event logistics include swag bag pickup on September 9–11 from 10:00 to 15:00 at 500 N Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach 33401; attendees must present their registration QR code for pickup. Packet pickup will be available at WPBFD Station 1 on September 10, 12 and 13 from 10:00 to 17:00; there is no packet pickup on September 11. Wrist bands serve as event admission. After the main activities there is an after party at 123 Datura. Multiple sponsor levels are offered, from Bronze to Platinum, with varying event entry and promotional benefits.
