Worthy 5k : Bossier City, LA
The Worthy 5k is the 5th annual event on March 7, 2026 at Arthur Teague Boat Launch, 3135 Arthur Ray Teague Pkwy, Bossier City, LA 71112. The event program includes the following distances:
- 5 km
- 1/2 mile (Worthy Fun Run, 10 and under; quarter mile out and back)
Registration pricing is tiered: an early bird rate of $20 through November 30; $25 from December 1 through January 31; $30 from February 1 through February 28; and $35 from March 1 through race day. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after February 22; a limited number of extra shirts will be available after that date on a first come, first serve basis. Race packet pickup details are to be announced, and race morning pickup will also be available.
Prizes are awarded for first and second place for male and female in age divisions: 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Post-race snacks will be available before and after the event.
The race supports Trail Life USA LA-2206. Trail Life USA is described as a church-based, Christ-centered, boy-focused mentoring and discipleship program for kindergarten through 12th grade. The 5k serves as the troop’s primary fundraiser for service projects and troop equipment. Strollers, wagons, and baby joggers are allowed on the course only at a walking pace; in-line skates, roller skates, and running while pushing a baby stroller are prohibited.
