Worthy 5K
The Worthy 5K is the sixth annual community road race and fundraiser held on February 27, 2027 in Bossier City, Louisiana. The event supports Trail Life USA troop LA-2206 and provides funds for troop service projects and equipment.
The event program includes:
- 5K race
- 0.5 mile Fun Run for ages 10 and under, not timed
Awards will be given as medals for first and second places, male and female, in the following age categories: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 44; 45 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 and over.
Registration fees vary by date. Early bird registration is $20 through November 30, 2026. Fees increase to $25 from December 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027; $30 from February 1 to February 14, 2027; and $35 from February 15 through race day. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations made after February 14, 2027 and extras will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
Packet pickup is available at Barksdale Community Church the day before the event and at the race site on race morning. Pancakes and post race snacks will be served before and after the race. Strollers, wagons and baby joggers are allowed on the course at walking pace only. Inline skates and roller skates are not allowed on the course.
