Event overview
The Worthy 5k takes place on March 7, 2026, at Arthur Teague Boat Launch in Bossier City, LA (3135 Arthur Ray Teague Pkwy, 71112). This is the 5th annual running and includes a main 5k and a youth fun run. The event supports Trail Life USA LA-2206 and serves as the troop’s annual fundraiser to cover service projects and troop equipment.

Categories, awards and amenities
Prizes are awarded for first and second place, male and female, across age groups: 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Post-race snacks will be available before and after the event. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after February 22; a limited number of extra shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration and course rules
Registration fees vary by date: an early-bird price applies through November 30; subsequent fee increases occur December 1 to January 31, February 1 to February 28, and from March 1 through race day. Race packet pickup details are to be announced; same-day pickup at the race site is offered. Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and other hand-pushed or pulled vehicles are allowed on the course at walking pace only. Inline skates, roller skates, and runners with baby strollers are not permitted on the run course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
