Event Overview
The Worthy 5K is an annual running event scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana. It serves as the sole annual fundraiser for Trail Life USA Troop LA-2206. The funds raised support the troop's local service projects and equipment maintenance.

Event Details
The event starts and finishes at the Arthur Teague Boat Launch, located at the foot of the Shreveport Barksdale Bridge. The main 5 km race begins at 8:00 AM. The Fun Run for younger participants starts earlier at 7:50 AM. Race-day packet pickup begins at 6:30 AM at the event site.
The organizers award prizes for first and second place in male and female categories across several age groups: 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Prizes are also awarded for the Fun Run. Post-race snacks are provided.
Registration and Logistics
Registration prices vary:
- $20 until November 30 (early bird).
- $25 from December 1 to January 31.
- $30 from February 1 to February 28.
- $35 from March 1 through race day.
A race shirt is included with registration, but specific sizes are not guaranteed for registrations completed after February 22. Event rules permit strollers and similar devices on the course, but only at a walking pace. In-line skates, roller skates, and running with baby strollers are not allowed on the run course.
