Overview
The Worthy 5k takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Bossier City, LA. The event is the 5th annual edition and supports Trail Life USA LA-2206. The race starts at the Arthur Teague Boat Launch at the foot of the Shreveport Barksdale Bridge. Two events are offered:
- 5 km
- 1/2 mile (Fun Run, 10 & under; quarter mile out and back)
Post-race snacks will be available before and after the events.
Race details
Prizes are awarded for first and second place for male and female finishers in age divisions: 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Registration fees change by date: an early-bird rate of $20 is available through November 30, 2025; registration is $25 from December 1 until March 1; registration is $30 from March 2 through race day. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations completed after February 22, 2026. Race packet pickup details are to be announced, with an option to pick up packets on race morning at the race site.
Special course rules: strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and other hand-pushed or pulled vehicles are allowed on the course only at a walk pace. In-line skates and roller skates are not permitted, and runners with baby strollers are not allowed on the run course.
