Worthing 10K
The Worthing 10K is a large mass participation running event located on the south coast of England. The race takes place on the Worthing Promenade, providing a route situated directly by the seaside. The course is designated as flat and fast, and it holds an official certificate of course accuracy (17/178). The event is also sanctioned under an England Athletics Permit.
The event provides two distinct distances:
- 10 km: Open to participants aged 15 and over.
- 1 mile: Known as the Mini Mile, open to participants aged between 5 and 14.
Participants include individuals running for charity, club runners, and those completing the distance for the first time. The route is designed to be personal best friendly due to the minimal elevation changes along the promenade. The race is organized by Runbase Events and serves as a significant gathering for the local and regional running community. Registration is open to the public with various entry fee tiers, including options for affiliated and non-affiliated runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
