About the race
The 2026 World Triathlon Multisport Championships Abu Dhabi will take place on Hudayriyat Island in the United Arab Emirates from 13 to 22 November 2026. The nine day programme brings together thousands of athletes for a series of world championship races across multiple multisport disciplines. Races on the programme include Long Distance Triathlon, Cross Triathlon, Duathlon, Cross Duathlon, Aquathlon and Aquabike. The event features elite, age group and para athletes competing for world titles.
The championships are staged on Hudayriyat Island, a self-contained endurance destination on Abu Dhabi’s coastline where athletes can stay, train, race and recover within walking distance of the event village. The schedule spans championship rounds for each discipline across the nine days, with separate headline events listed for duathlon, cross triathlon, cross duathlon, aquathlon and long distance competitions on specified days in November 2026. The championships also include a mixed relay and paratriathlon within the duathlon programme and offer dedicated competition formats for long distance aquabike on the final day.
