World Famous Blue Crab 5K
The World Famous Blue Crab 5K is held on May 16, 2026 in Little River, South Carolina at Vereen Memorial and Historical Gardens. The course runs on trails within the gardens and along boardwalks that cross the marsh. The start and finish lines are located at the gate of Vereen Memorial and Historical Gardens.
The event includes two entries: World Famous Blue Crab 5K and Employee-World Famous Blue Crab 5K. The standard entry fee is listed as $35. Employees pay $35 for enrollment and will be reimbursed after the race concludes. All race participants receive a custom Blue Crab finisher’s medal.
Parking is provided at Vereen Memorial Gardens, 2250 Hwy 179, Little River, SC 29566, and at Little River Medical Center, 4303 Live Oak Drive, Little River, SC 29566. Packet pick-up and late registration are available the day before at the Government and Justice Center in Conway and at the C.B. Berry Community Center in Little River; additional packet pick-up is held at the C.B. Berry Community Center on race day.
Awards are presented for overall male and female first through third places and by age divisions based on net chip time. Award recipients must be present to receive prizes; awards are not mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
