Workington 5K Series Race 3

This event is the third race in the Workington Summer 5K Series, held on 22 July 2026 at Workington Cricket Club, Earnest Valentine Ground, The Cloffocks, Workington. There is no parking at the cricket club itself.

The race is one of four 5 km races in the series, with the other dates on 13 May, 10 June and 19 August. The course is officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers and will follow ROUTE B. The measurement certificate, permit and a full course risk assessment will be on display at event headquarters in accordance with UKA rules.

Race numbers are issued at registration, which takes place within the cricket club. A race safety briefing will be given before the start. First aid provision will be available on site. The event will use a lead bike and a sweeper runner to manage the course.

Prizes are awarded after each individual race to the first three male and female finishers. Series points are allocated to all runners, with prizes presented at the end of the series in five-year veteran age categories. Runners must complete at least three of the four races to qualify for overall series prizes. Results will be produced using chip timing by Timing Up North.
