Worcester Firefighters 6K
The 25th annual Worcester Firefighters 6K is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Institute Park, 141 Salisbury St, Worcester, MA 01609. The event was created as a living memorial to firefighters who died in the Worcester Cold Storage Fire in 1999 and it also commemorates additional department members who died in the line of duty since 1999.
Event offerings include:
- 6K run/walk, chip timed
- 3K Walk noncompetitive, chip timed
- Kids 1K untimed fun run for children under 12
The event combines the road races with a block party atmosphere and a BBQ inside Institute Park. Online registration follows tiered fees for the 6K and 3K walk, and closes at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Posted entry fees for the 6K are $33 through March 31, 2026; $35 from April 1 to April 30; $37 from May 1 to June 6; and $40 for walk up registration the race weekend. The 3K walk fees are $30 through March 31, $32 April 1 to April 30, $34 May 1 to June 6, and $35 walk up. Kids 1K entry is $15.
