Woodstock Freedom Run : Woodstock, GA
The Woodstock Freedom Run is an annual running event held in downtown Woodstock at the Arts Green Space on Market Street. The event uses a new course and a new gathering area, with the start and finish located on Market Street in front of the stage at the green space.
Distances offered include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1K
- Tot Trot for young children
All preregistered runners and walkers receive a short sleeved event t-shirt. Free fruit and water are provided for participants, and all registrants are eligible for a prize drawing. Awards are presented for the 5K and 10K overall male and female winners, overall masters male and female winners, and the top three finishers in multiple age groups (10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+). The 1K and Tot Trot offer ribbons to all finishers, and registered tots also receive a t-shirt and a race award ribbon.
Parking is available in a nearby Main Street parking deck. The event takes place on July 4 and is followed by the downtown Independence Day parade. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
