About the race
Woods Park Twilight Runs is the 4th annual community run scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026 in Lincoln, NE at Woods Park. The event is presented by Lincoln Track Club, INK ALLEY, Fleet Feet Lincoln, Lincoln Running Company, The Corner Kitchen, and El Tejano Style. The date is subject to change based on the 2026 Nebraska football schedule.
There are two race options:
- Wild Things 1 Mile for ages 12 and under
- 5K for all ages and paces
The course is run cross country style on grass with multiple loops. Organizers note the course is one of the flatter multi loop courses in the area with some terrain while remaining generally smooth. Runners may be lapped; participants are asked to stay to the right except to pass.
Registration uses early and standard pricing tiers. Early registrants receive guaranteed race gloves and a drink koozie; later registrants may not receive those items. Organizers hope to support the Lincoln Food Bank with food donations.
Parking is available in nearby lots and on some streets; neighborhood parking west of Woods Park is discouraged. Packet pickup is race day only at the shelter near the playground. Awards are to be determined. Food trucks Korner Kitchen and ChiStyle are expected to be available after the run.
The event will be cancelled only for severe inclement weather such as lightning. There are no refunds if the race is cancelled due to weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
