Woods Park Twilight Runs : 4th Annual
Woods Park Twilight Runs is a community-centered running event held at Woods Park in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 24, 2026. The event is presented by Lincoln Track Club, INK ALLEY, FLEET FEET LINCOLN, LINCOLN RUNNING COMPANY, THE CORNER KITCHEN, and El Tejano Style. It features multiple laps on a grass cross country style course that uses the same loop repeatedly.
Racing options include:
- Wild Things 1 mile for participants age 12 and under.
- 5K open to all ages and paces.
The 5K is run as a single race for all paces on a flat, multi-loop course with some terrain; runners should stay to the right except to pass as lapping may occur. On-time registrants receive gloves in youth and adult sizes and a drink koozie; extras may be available but are not guaranteed.
Packet pickup is race day at the shelter near the playground beginning around 3:30pm. Parking is available in nearby lots south of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health building, west and south of the Kiwanis ball field, and east of the Woods tennis and pool; street parking is available on Rogers Memorial Drive with posted restrictions. Food trucks Korner Kitchen and ChiStyle Trucks will be present after the runs. The event will be cancelled only for severe inclement weather such as lightning and there are no refunds if the race is cancelled due to weather.
