Woods Park Twilight Runs - 4th Annual
The Woods Park Twilight Runs is a community centered running event held at Woods Park, 401 S 33rd St, Lincoln, NE 68510. The event is presented by Lincoln Track Club, INK ALLEY, FLEET FEET LINCOLN, LINCOLN RUNNING COMPANY, THE CORNER KITCHEN, and El Tejano Style. Organizers intend to support the Lincoln Food Bank with food donations.
Racing takes place on a grass cross country style loop at Woods Park with multiple laps of the same course. Runners may be lapped on the course; participants are asked to stay to the right except to pass. The event includes racing for a range of ages and abilities.
Distances
- Wild Things 1 mile, 12 and under, one lap and a short extra section
- Woods Park 5K 5K, all ages and paces, multiple laps on grass course
On-time registrants receive gloves (youth and adult sizes available) and a drink koozy; additional race swag may be ordered but is not guaranteed. Packet pickup is available on race day at the shelter near the playground. Awards are to be determined and will be posted when available.
Parking is available in nearby lots and on Rogers Memorial Drive; organizers ask that participants avoid parking in the neighborhood west of Woods Park. Food trucks Korner Kitchen and ChiStyle Trucks are planned for post-run food service. The event will be canceled only for severe inclement weather such as lightning, and there are no refunds if the race is canceled due to weather.
