Woods Park Twilight Runs - 4th Annual
Woods Park Twilight Runs is a community running event held at Woods Park, 401 S 33rd St, Lincoln, NE 68510, on October 24, 2026. The event uses a grass, multi-lap loop course run cross country style. The organizers describe the course as relatively flat with some terrain, allowing repeated laps on the same loop; runners may be lapped and are asked to stay to the right except to pass.
Two distances are offered:
- Wild Things 1 mile for ages 12 and under
- Woods Park 5K for all ages and paces
Organizers plan to collect food donations for the Lincoln Food Bank, with details to be announced. Packet pickup is available on race day at the shelter near the playground. Parking is available in nearby lots south of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health building, west and south of the Kiwanis ball field, and east of the Woods tennis and pool; street parking is available on Rogers Memorial Dr with attention to posted signs.
Registrants by October 10 will receive gloves and a drink koozy; registrants by October 12 will receive gloves; later registrations are not guaranteed to receive items. Food trucks are expected to be present after the run. The event will be cancelled only for severe inclement weather such as lightning; there are no refunds if the race is cancelled for weather. Sponsors include Lincoln Track Club, INK ALLEY, FLEET FEET LINCOLN, LINCOLN RUNNING COMPANY, THE CORNER KITCHEN, and El Tejano Style.
