Woods Park Twilight Runs 4th Annual
Woods Park Twilight Runs is a community centered running event held at Woods Park, 401 S 33rd St, Lincoln, NE 68510. The event is presented by Lincoln Track Club, INK ALLEY, FLEET FEET LINCOLN, LINCOLN RUNNING COMPANY, THE CORNER KITCHEN, and El Tejano Style. Organizers plan to support the Lincoln Food Bank with food donations.
Racing takes place on a grass loop course using multiple laps in a cross country style. The event offers separate youth and open distances and emphasizes keeping to the right except to pass when runners are lapped. On time registrants receive gloves in youth and adult sizes and a drink koozy. Extras may be ordered but race swag is not guaranteed after the final registration period.
Practical information includes packet pickup on race day at the shelter near the playground, parking in nearby lots and on Rogers Memorial Dr with attention to posted no parking signs, and food trucks planned for post run service. Awards are to be determined. The event will only be cancelled for severe inclement weather such as lightning and there are no refunds for weather related cancellations.
