Woodlawn United 5K
The Woodlawn United 5K, presented as Move for Impact: Kingston-Woodlawn Wellness Day 5K, is an inaugural community 5K scheduled for September 19, 2026 in Birmingham, Alabama. The event is based at 5529 1st Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35212 and is intended to connect the Kingston and Woodlawn neighborhoods while highlighting local people, places, and development.
The race course will pass key community landmarks, including Woodlawn High School, I3 Academy, Willow Wood Park, and recent neighborhood developments that reflect ongoing investment in the area.
A full Wellness Day follows the race and features health screenings, wellness resources, farmers market style vendors, fitness demonstrations and activities, youth and family engagement opportunities, and participation by community organizations and local businesses.
Two event entries are listed: a 5K Run and a Kids Run, each covering a 5 kilometer distance. Registration for the 5K Run opens May 8, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026 with a fee of $30.00. Registration for the Kids Run opens June 3, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026 with a fee of $15.00.
