About the race
The Woodland Challenge is a 6-hour running event held in Rugby, UK, starting at St Andrews Rugby Club. Participants run multiple laps of a 3.3-mile out-and-back course along the Great Central Way, a disused railway line managed by Sustrans and Rugby Borough Council. The route features gentle uphill and downhill sections, a short steep climb known as "the zig zags," and passes the old Hillmorton station platform.
Runners can complete as many laps as they wish within six hours, making distances from 5k to over 50 miles possible. The event offers a friendly atmosphere, woodland-themed medals, and supports Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
