Wooden Shoe 5K
The Wooden Shoe 5K is a community sports event held in Clymer, New York. Participants can choose between different formats to traverse the local area:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- Kiddie Dash
The route begins on Mohawk Street and takes participants on a loop around Clymer Pond. The course then follows Knowlton and Clymer-Corry Road before heading into the town center. After turning onto Route 474, participants travel west toward Heil Transportation, where they navigate a small hill. The final segment of the race returns to the town center, follows Clymer-Sherman Road to Maple Avenue, and concludes back at the school.
The event includes prize distributions such as door prizes and formal awards. For the 5K Run, awards are presented to the top two overall winners and the leading male and female finishers in various age categories. For the 5K Walk, awards are provided to the top two male and female participants. Registration is available for runners, walkers, and children.
