Women's Whisper Triathlon
The Women's Whisper Triathlon takes place in East Meadow, New York, with the event hub located at the Nassau Aquatic Center on Merrick Ave. The competition utilizes the indoor Freedom Pool for the swimming segments and features a cycling course on closed roads. Participants complete the running portion of the event through Eisenhower Park.
The event offers several individual and relay formats to accommodate various age groups and physical preferences:
- Enduro Triathlon: Two consecutive rounds of a 400m swim, 6-mile bike, and 2-mile run.
- Traditional Triathlon: A single round consisting of a 400m swim, 6-mile bike, and 2-mile run.
- AquaBike: An individual event focused on a 400m swim and a 6-mile bike.
- Youth/Junior Triathlon: A shorter course with a 100m swim, 2-mile bike, and 0.25-mile run.
- Virtual Triathlon: Remote participation for the 400m swim, 6-mile bike, and 2-mile run distances.
Relay options are available for the traditional triathlon distance, allowing teams of two or three athletes to compete together. Specific relay categories include Adult, High School, and Family teams. The Family Relay category is designed for a combination of adults and high school aged athletes between 14 and 18 years old.
