Women's Epic 10k at Deer Valley Resort
This is a women-focused mountain trail race at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. The course is a loop of approximately 10 km with about 1,253 ft of vertical gain and varied mountain scenery.
The route begins with roughly 2 miles of mostly steep uphill followed by about 4.2 miles of gradual downhill. Runners move up the Bald Eagle Hiking Trail through thick pines, autumn trees, and open country, then descend on single-track sections along Mid-Mountain and Deer Crest. Views of Park City and changing leaves are part of the course experience.
There are two aid stations. The first aid station is located at about 2 miles at Silver Lake Lodge and supplies water, electrolytes, and restroom access; participants ring a bell at that point before beginning the descent. A second aid station is located at about mile 4. The event includes cutoffs at the top aid station and an overall race cutoff.
Event services and offerings include Deer Valley Resort amenities, an event necklace, a lodging discount, a 12-week training plan, an epic swag bag and T-shirt, and support for a charity partner. Bib and swag pickup are available the day before and the morning of the race with I.D. required. A VIP dinner is offered the evening prior with a carb-focused meal, a keynote speaker, a custom crewneck, and a curated gift bag; gluten free and vegan options are available. No dogs or children are permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
