PNC Women Run the Cities

PNC Women Run the Cities is an annual running event taking place in May at Minnehaha Falls Regional Park. Organized by Twin Cities In Motion, a nonprofit organization, the event offers various distances for participants to choose from:

  • 10 Mile
  • 10K
  • 5K
  • Old Dutch Little Chippers Kids Run the Cities

The courses provide scenic views, with the 10K route passing along the Mississippi River. For the 10 Mile event, participants must maintain a pace of at least 15 minutes per mile to complete the course within 2.5 hours. There are no time limits for the 5K, 10K, or the kids run. Strollers are permitted in the 5K and shorter distances with a designated stroller bib.

The event emphasizes sustainability through several initiatives. Registered participants and volunteers can utilize free Metro Transit access on race day. Fluid stations on the course use reusable silicon cups. Additionally, a bike valet is located on the east side of the Finish Festival to encourage cycling to the venue, and a dedicated team manages waste stream sorting.

Registered runners receive a participant shirt and a finisher medal. Financial assistance is available through the Equity in Motion program, which offers a 50 percent discount on entry fees for a limited number of eligible participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
