Wombwell 5 Mile Road Race

This is a 5-mile road race starting from Race HQ at Wombwell Kart Circuit in Barnsley. The event has a participant limit of 500 and sold out in previous years.

Entry fees for UK Athletics affiliated runners are £14, and for unaffiliated runners, £16. Online entries and transfers close at a set date before the event, and there are no entries on race day. All finishers receive a medal.

Prizes are awarded in numerous age categories for both male and female participants, including categories up to MV80 and FV80. There are also prizes for first unattached runner and team prizes.

The event is held under UK Athletics rules, which prohibit the use of audio devices, earphones, and bone-conducting headphones during the race. Participants must be at least 15 years old to enter. Race day amenities include onsite parking, toilets at Race HQ, and a post-race presentation.
