Event Details
The Wolftrap 5K is a community event organized by the Wolftrap Elementary School PTA. The main fundraiser for the school, it features two events: a 5K run/walk and a 1 Mile untimed fun run/walk. Both events start and finish at the same location: 1903 Beulah Rd, Vienna, VA.
Event Day Activities
Beyond the runs, the morning includes music, race awards, a cake walk, raffles of baskets, and after-race treats. The event takes place rain or shine. Strollers are welcome for both distances.
Registration and Fees
All participants must register online. Fees increase after March 15, 2026. For the 5K, the adult fee (age 13 and over) starts at $40 and the child fee (age 12 and under) starts at $30. The 1 Mile Fun Run fee starts at $20. A $5 discount is available for those who opt out of a race shirt. Registrations completed by March 31 are guaranteed a race shirt.
Schedule and Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the event at the school and on race day from 7:15 AM. Participants can also register on the event day at packet pickup.
Awards
For the timed 5K, trophies and medals are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, including teachers and students. Medals are also awarded to the top male and female finisher in multiple age categories, from 4 & under to 50 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
